The number one question we get asked is, "What is that stuff made of?" It’s a great question! When you see a five-foot-tall mountain of foam, it’s natural to wonder if it’s full of harsh chemicals.
We have some great news for you! Our foam solution is professionally formulated to be incredibly gentle. Think of it like a giant, high-tech bubble bath! Our solution is:
- Hypoallergenic: We know many kiddos have sensitive skin, so our foam is designed to be super kind to everyone.
- Non-Toxic: It is completely safe if it touches skin or if a curious toddler decides to give it a taste (though we don't recommend making a meal out of it!).
- Fragrance-Free (Unless you want a scent!): In its standard form, it’s scentless and won't irritate little noses or lungs.
- Biodegradable: This is huge! It’s environmentally friendly and breaks down naturally.
It’s basically as safe as baby soap! Whether you have tiny toddlers or big kids, everyone can dive into the foam without a worry in the world. Even your furry friends can join in! Here is why: Visibility is everything. When a pool is filled with several feet of thick foam, you can no longer see the surface of the water or the bottom of the pool. If a child were to slip under the water, it would be very difficult for parents or lifeguards to see them through the bubbles.
There is also a pool maintenance side to think about. Using foam in or near the water can affect the pool’s chemistry, which might mean you’ll need to re-balance the chemicals or backwash the filter afterward.
Instead, we love setting up our foam cannon right next to the pool on the grass or the pool deck! This creates an awesome "splash zone" where kids can run back and forth between the foam and the water. It’s the best of both worlds!
